Imagine a material five times lighter than masonry, but just as strong. Wood allows for simplified foundations, extensions without heavy work, and, thanks to its prefabrication in the workshop, construction sites twice as quick and clean. It even authorizes tall constructions, like the Albizzia projectin Lyon.

Naturally insulating, it keeps heat in winter and protects from outside noise, while giving rooms a soft and enveloping atmosphere. In expansion projects, it even offers significant space savings by directly integrating the insulation into its structure.
Much more than chalets
If we often think of the traditional chalet, the different sites to visit during the “Living in Wood” meetings prove that there are no limits to style: contemporary lines, solid CLT panels, collective housing, self-construction… Wood can do everything and adapts to all architectural desires.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover solutions for an even greener home: wood fiber insulation, heating with logs or pellets, and other innovations to make everyday life more economical and pleasant.
Inspiring encounters

During the visits, architects, craftsmen, project managers and builders share their know-how and tips. These days are moments to ask questions, understand new techniques, and why not leave with the desire – and the contacts – to launch your own wood project.

In resonance with everyday architecture
In parallel, Fibois AuRA joins forces this year with National Architecture Days from October 16 to 19, around the theme Everyday architecture. An ideal moment to show that wood is not limited to aesthetics, but that it fits into our lives, our homes and our urban landscapes with elegance and durability.
