The weather today

In the central and northern regions, rains and storms are predicted, which will be locally strong in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the eastern parts of central Macedonia, mainly in the mid-afternoon hours.

In the rest of the country, generally clear weather, with clouds temporarily increasing in the continental areas at noon and in the afternoon, when local showers or isolated storms will occur, mainly in the mountains.

The winds will blow west northwest 3 to 5 and in the south locally up to 6 Beaufort.

Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust to the south.

The temperature will drop slightly mainly in the west and north. It will reach 28 to 33 degrees in the west and north, 29 to 33 degrees in the rest of the continent and 34 degrees in places, while in the island country 29 to 31 degrees Celsius.

MACEDONIA, THRACE

Weather: In eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the eastern parts of central Macedonia, clouds are forecast temporarily increased with rain and sporadic storms. The phenomena, which will be strong in places mainly in the mid-afternoon hours, will temporarily weaken in the evening.

In the rest of the areas, few clouds, which mainly in the afternoon – afternoon will be increased and there will be local rain and isolated storms.

Winds: Northwest 3 to 4 and in central Macedonia 4 to 5 Beaufort with weakening from noon.

Temperature: From 20 to 33 degrees Celsius and in western Macedonia 3 to 4 degrees lower.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased in the midday and afternoon hours when local rains will occur and mainly in Epirus and western Sterea sporadic storms. Improvement of the weather in the evening.

Winds: Northwest 4 to 5 and from noon to the south to 6 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 22 to 30 degrees and in the mainland up to 33 degrees Celsius.

EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased in the midday and afternoon hours when local rains will occur and mainly in eastern Sterea and Evia sporadic storms. Improvement of the weather in the evening.

Winds: Westerlies 4 to 5 and locally in the central and south up to 6 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 22 to 34 and locally 35 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE

Weather: Generally clear.

Winds: West southwest 4 to 5 and from noon 5 to 6 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 23 to 29 degrees and in Crete locally up to 34 degrees Celsius.

EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE

Weather: Generally clear with a few temporary clouds in the north.

Winds: From south directions 3 to 4 and temporary in the south locally up to 5 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 22 to 32 degrees Celsius, in the north 2 to 3 degrees lower.

THESSALY

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased in the midday and afternoon hours, so in the continental parts there will be local showers and sporadic storms. Improvement of the weather in the evening.

Winds: Northwest 4 to 5 Beaufort with weakening from noon.

Temperature: From 22 to 36 degrees Celsius, while in the Sporades the maximum will be 4 to 5 degrees lower.

ATTICA

Weather: Initially generally sunny. In the midday and afternoon hours, temporary clouds will develop and there will be local rain, mainly in the north.

Winds: West northwest 3 to 5 Beaufort, gradually weakening from the afternoon.

Temperature: From 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.

THESSALONIKI

Weather: A few clouds which mainly in the afternoon – afternoon will be increased and there will be local rain and sporadic storms.

Winds: Northwest 3 to 5 Beaufort with weakening from noon.
