Weather | Tropical week in the Czech Republic: It will be up to 33 °C, but there will also be new storms. Keep an eye on Lightning’s radar

On Tuesday, the weather in the Czech Republic will be marked by the passage of a wavy cold front, which will bring with it more clouds.

First in Bohemia, and in the afternoon also in Moravia and Silesia, it will become cloudy and there is a risk of showers or thunderstorms in some places. Precipitation will decrease in the evening. The highest daily temperatures in Bohemia will be between 25 and 29 degrees Celsius, in Moravia and Silesia between 29 and 33 degrees.

The ČHMÚ has therefore issued a high temperature warning for the east and south-east of the Czech Republic, which will be in effect from noon on Tuesday until 7:00 p.m.

On the contrary, Wednesday will be the coldest day of this week. The afternoon maximum will probably reach 30 degrees only in the south of Moravia, in other parts of the country it will be between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius. In the south-eastern half of the Czech Republic, it will rain in places, but in the evening, meteorologists expect the cloudiness to decrease and, with it, the precipitation to stop.

On Thursday and Friday, meteorologists expect highs around 30 degrees for the entire country with isolated showers or thunderstorms.

On Saturday, afternoon highs should range from 29 to 33 degrees. The end of the weekend will be marked again by showers and thunderstorms, especially in the Czech Republic.

Alternation of colder and warmer episodes will continue, according to the monthly weather outlook. After a strongly above-normal temperature week, it will cool down. The highs next week will most often be around 25 degrees Celsius, and the nights in particular will be cooler and more tolerable.

In the next two weeks, which tend to be the climatologically warmest part of the year, temperatures will most likely hover around the long-term normal. The highs will most often be between 24 and 29 degrees and the lows between 16 and 11 degrees Celsius, probably with only shorter warmer episodes.

Weekly rainfall totals should range from today to August 11 at or around ten liters of water per square meter. “The rainier period from the end of June and the current course of July will shift to a more normal or slightly drier period for the next three weeks,” stated the CHMÚ. They expect more rain only in the week of August 5.
