The high school conditions will be recurrent in the coming weeks, despite the bustle of recent days on the country. Temperatures should gradually go up after the deficit of the next few days.
Week from February 3 to 9: return of new dry conditions
Pressures should continue to get back on the country. Thus, the disturbances would have more difficulty reaching us and would simply border the Côtes de la Channel with a few low passing showers. Elsewhere, the gray mornings will be numerous, but followed by sun in certain regions. The frosts will return in the morning while the afternoon values will remain slightly below normal, except in the mountains thanks to generous sunshine. The mountains would therefore not fill up with snow for this week, just before the start of the winter holidays.
Week from February 10 to 16: Time overall calm for the start of the holidays
The anticyclone will confirm its districts in France with often foggy weather in the morning, then the sun in the afternoon. The frosts will be present, especially in the plain and valleys due to the inversion of temperatures. Indeed, the air will often be much softer at altitude, undermining the snowy mantle at medium altitude.
It is therefore a relatively dry time which should predominate for the start of the school holidays. The snow may come to miss some massifs, especially at low altitude. It should still be noted that reliability becomes lower for this deadline. Some models see, in fact, depressions closer to our country, with the start of an anticyclonic weakness from the West. However, this would remain quite weak overall.
Week from February 17 to 23: return of Atlantic disturbances
Reliability becomes limited to this deadline. It is possible that anticyclone will lose a little ground to the west, letting it easily pass from Atlantic disturbances with the return of showers, on the western fringe of the country. However, this scenario is not preponderant. So you have to take this trend with tweezers for this second week of the winter vacation.
Week from February 24 to March 2: gradually softer
For this final week of the month of February, the majority scenario is that of a fairly low southwest flow. Temperatures will start upwards, redepracting seasonal averages to finish this month. Time could generally be seasonal on the sky side, with the passage of a few showers, especially to the northwest, but also of beautiful periods of thinning.
This trend, update every Thursday from 5 p.m., is likely to change significantly to each updating.
