On Sunday, the institute declared an alert for the entire country from 2:00 p.m. until midnight.

Today, storms will probably move quickly and only over part of the Czech Republic. “There won’t be many storms across the board. On Sunday, storms can appear anywhere in the Czech Republic, and especially in Moravia, they will probably last longer than today. “In the Czech Republic, the main risk will be mainly hail up to two centimeters, or torrential rainfall. The storms will move fairly quickly to the northeast in this area. In Moravia and Silesia, the storms will have a slower progress, so the main risk will be torrential rain or small hail. Storms, according to meteorologists, can cause flooding of lower-lying areas and flooding of smaller streams. Tree branches can also break and there is a risk of lightning strikes.
