Weather | It will be freezing and snowing. And the pressure is extremely low in the Czech Republic

According to ČHMÚ, the Nils deep depression is responsible for this low pressure. Yesterday it was located in the central parts of Germany and marginally affected us. “Especially in the Czech Republic, the ground air pressure converted to sea level currently reaches very low values of only around 980 hPa. For example, in Pilsen, the last time such a low pressure was more than 10 years ago, on January 30, 2015,” meteorologists reported yesterday.

Low pressure creates a burden on the organism, increases fatigue and can cause poor sleep or headaches. It also reduces concentration. The elderly and people with low blood pressure are most vulnerable.

New snow warning

According to meteorologists, this depression will move from Poland to the northeast today. Due to this, moist air will flow into our territory, which will bring cloudy to overcast weather. But it will still be warm – today temperatures can rise to 10 degrees Celsius.

The change will come tomorrow when the rain will quickly turn to snow from the northwest. “A continuous snow cover will begin to form in most areas in the afternoon and evening,” say the meteorologists, adding that in the evening snow tongues and ice will occasionally form. Temperatures still rise to 5 degrees Celsius.

The warning is valid from Saturday 20:00 until Sunday 09:00 for the entire Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions and for parts of the Zlín, South Moravian and Pardubice regions and part of the Highlands.

“Due to the moderate northerly wind, tongues of snow will form during the night on Sunday until Sunday afternoon, when the wind weakens, especially in the vicinity of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, central and northern Moravia and Silesia,” added by the ČHMÚ.

Meteorologists in connection with snowfall warn of complications in traffic, drivers are advised to follow traffic reports and drive very carefully.
