In Doksany, today’s temperature broke the more than half-century-old record for September 4, 1973, which was 29.5 degrees. It also exceeded the previous record of the station there for the whole of September, which was 34.9 degrees and came from September 1, 2015. The second highest temperature today was exactly 35 degrees and was recorded both in Tuhan in Mělnick and Strážnice in Hodonínsk. At the same time, the record for the whole of September was also set in Tuhan, which was the same as in Doksany from September 1, 2015, and was 34 degrees.

The warm weather will continue on Wednesday – and sultry. It will be clear to partly cloudy, especially in the west and in the mountains, with temporarily increased cloudiness, showers or thunderstorms may once again occur. The lowest night temperatures are expected in the range of 20 to 16 °C, highest daily temperatures again high 29 to 34 °C.

The cooling will come only in the second week of September. “Next week a more significant change will arrive from the west. Cloudiness will increase, rain will increase and it will also gradually cool down,” meteorologists said.
