The warning with a low degree of danger applies to most of the South Moravian and Olomouc regions and parts of the Vysočina, Pardubice, Moravian-Silesian and Zlín regions.

Residents of Olomouc are warning on social media about roads and sidewalks covered with an extremely slippery layer of ice. One post also concerns information about a stuck public transport bus in Topolany.

Due to the freezing drizzle, the glacier also forms in the Zlín region – in some sections of the Uherskohradišť region, the Kroměříž region and the Vsetín region. Caution is required.

In the Zlín region, temperatures are hovering around the freezing point and drizzle this morning. According to information from the ŘSD, road workers treated the roads chemically, but drivers are still advised to be more careful when traveling. Ice can form, for example, on the D55 between Babice and Bzenec in the Uherskohradišť region, drizzle also in the area of ​​Uherské Brod. In the Vsetín region, temperatures hover around three degrees below zero and it is also drizzling.

According to information from the ŘSD, caution is necessary especially in Prostějovsk. Drivers must expect drizzle accompanied by temperatures below freezing, for example on the D46 in the direction from Prostějov to Vyškov. The glacier is reported by the road manager between Vrbátky and Kralice na Hané, driving there with increased caution. There is a truck on the scene that cannot continue driving. Ice is also found on the second and third class roads in Konicko, the road workers are now spreading there.

The road managers also warn of freezing drizzle and the possible formation of ice between Osek nad Bečvou and Lipník nad Bečvou in the Přerovsk region, and even there, increased caution is in order. The road is now impassable due to ice according to police traffic information near the village of Klokočí in Přerovsk. In Olomouc, ice can form due to drizzle in the Šternbersk region.

Increased caution is also appropriate in the Šumper region. “Drizzling and precipitation occurred at night, some of them were snowy. Now it is drizzling in areas where there is fog. Roads after chemical treatment are bare and wet, increased caution is necessary on inert sections, ice has formed in Libinsk. In other parts, ice is not forming, the temperature is starting to rise,” a dispatcher of the Šumper Road Administration told ČTK today.

The police are recording several accidents in the region this morning. A car crashed into a traffic sign near Chromče in Šumperska, two cars collided on a glacier in Prostějov. The police also recorded two accidents on the D1 highway near Nezamyslice in Prostějovsk, a truck crashed there as well as a van that ended up off the road.
