From Friday to Monday, firefighters went to 1234 incidents due to storms, they pumped out water or removed fallen trees. But they also saved boaters.

On Monday evening, intense precipitation moved to the central part of the Beskydy Mountains, from Frenštát pod Radhoštěm to Třinec. Up to 140 millimeters of rain fell during the night. The Říčka Ropičanka near Třinec has reached the third, i.e. the highest, level of flood activity. The situation calmed down in the morning. Rainfall has weakened and is about to stop completely. In all the regions that have been affected by floods in recent days, the river levels remained at the first, at most, the second flood stage after noon today. Radbuza in Staňkov in the Pilsen region, which had been at the highest level of three since Sunday, dropped to the second flood level during the night.

In Frýdecko-Místek, from Monday evening until this morning, firefighters went out to almost a hundred interventions. They pumped water out of flooded cellars, cleaned clogged canal drains. In Trinec, water heated a home for the elderly with 27 housing units. She got into the building through the repaired roof. The city is now dealing with the transfer of clients to alternative premises. Firefighters have been cleaning flooded cellars and roads since the evening in Valašské Klobouky in the Zlín region.

Heavy local rains and storms tormented not only people, but also wild animals. The conservationists from Pilsen took care of several drenched and wet raptors or a fresh swan chick that was washed away from the nest by the high water.

The flood warning continues to apply for part of the Zlín and Moravian-Silesian regions, for Prague and part of the Central Bohemian and Pilsen regions.

However, the flood situation in the Moravian-Silesian region also calmed down in the early evening. The levels of most rivers have dropped to normal levels. Currently, there is only one first level of flood activity in the region, namely on Morávka in Vyšné Lhoty.
