According to Vigicrues, the levels “will continue to increase until Sunday”. The sections of the Garonne located between Agen (Lot-et-Garonne) and Langon (Gironde) are particularly monitored, with a peak expected “during the night from Saturday to Sunday” at La Réole (Gironde).
Evacuations of residents took place yesterday on the banks of the Garonne, the flood partially flooding several municipalities. In Lot-et-Garonne, “nearly 900 people were evacuated from 20 municipalities”, notably “following the damage to natural dikes”, according to the Agen prefecture.
