Around a hundred member companies of the Association of Austrian Swimming Pond and Natural Pool Construction (VÖSN) build chic and technically sophisticated natural pools. This ecological solution has recently developed into a sustainable and increasingly popular alternative to chlorine pools. Wasting water is a thing of the past: once filled, the water cleans itself without chemical additives. This works almost miraculously over many years. Qualified experts know how it works. It is also possible to convert existing chlorine pools.

Austria sets standards worldwide

„In recent years, garden designers, biologists and experts have been racking their brains to ensure that natural pools also function hygienically”, says Ing. Franz Kubacek, Director of National & International Representation, and adds: “One thing is crystal clear: Austria is at the forefront.” By this he means that natural pools are now so technically advanced that laypeople can hardly tell the difference between them and classic chlorine pools. If the customer requests it, the biologically purified water will be just as sparkling blue and crystal clear. One small difference is that in natural pools a biofilm forms on the foil surfaces, which helps to purify the water.
