Tickets of free train for 18 year olds to visit Europe: let’s see who can request it. The newspaper Corriere della Serain its online edition, reported that the initiative was born within the project Discover-EUa program action Erasmus+created to promote the discovery of the European cultural, historical, linguistic and gastronomic heritage.

The fundamental requirement is to be born between 1 July 2005 and 30 June 2006, extremes included. To apply you must have citizenship or residence in one of the countries Member States of the European Unionor in one of the following countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Türkiye.

To participate you must fill out an telematic form where you can check that you meet the requirements and enter the details of a valid identity document: both the normal electronic card and the passport or residence card are fine.

Next, you need to answer a quiz and whoever wins gets a free pass to travel only by train. Whoever fails to win receives a European card, which gives the right to discounts on cultural visits, sporting activities, travel, food and accommodation, always in the aforementioned countries.

We remind you that you can also participate in a group, up to five people. In this case, a contact person will act as group leader in the question and answers of the quizzes and, to allow the other members to participate, must share a code with them. After that, they will all have to sign up and register on the portal, entering their details.

In fact, such a project has existed since 2018but this year it is particularly felt due to its proximity to European elections and for the total overcoming of the pandemic coronaviruswhich blocked (or in any case limited) this initiative for three years.
