“Hi it’s Leo, what does it say?”
A little over a month before the municipal elections, the campaign is igniting in Marseille after right-wing candidate Martine Vassal took up and assumed the motto of the Vichy regime, “work, family, homeland”, during a debate. Questioned about the reference to Pétain, she maintained that it was “her values”.
In Lyon, a week after the death of far-right activist Quentin Deranque, a tribute march is planned for this Saturday. The authorities fear the counter-mobilization of antifa and possible clashes. In certain neighborhoods, the fear is mainly about the arrival of neo-Nazi activists from all over Europe.
And then, after what seemed to be a joke from Barack Obama in a podcast, Donald Trump promises to declassify documents on UFOs and extraterrestrials. “They are real, but I haven’t seen them,” said the former Democratic president. Enough to revive speculation, while previous revelations of official documents ultimately showed nothing other than unidentified aerial phenomena.
