The park offers different recreational areas that seek to promote physical activity and community integration. Among its main attractions are a slip, rest benches and small courts where you can play football or basketball. These spaces have been designed so that children and adolescents in the area have a place to practice sports and perform outdoor activities. There are also different ideal ramps to skate or turn by bicycle.

One of the most striking aspects of the park is the series of colored murals that adorn the place. These paintings have been made with the aim of decorating space and providing an attractive visual experience for neighbors. Murals include traditional cartoons designs such as Looney Tunescharacters that have accompanied the childhood of many generations and that remain recognized by children and adults.

In addition to animated characters, murals show Guatemalan landscapes and various species of animals. Among the images you can see tigers, squirrels and several exotic birds, including macaws, toucans and a quetzal, the national bird of Guatemala. These paintings not only seek to decorate the park, but also arouse children’s interest in the nature and fauna of the country.

This initiative seeks to promote recreation in public spaces and provide entertainment alternatives for families in the sector. The Colonia First of July, in Mixcoit is an area in which other community projects have highlighted. Currently, this site has an interesting project for a couple of years: the mural made with bottle caps.

It is a ecological project, which can be visited near the city, and is promoted by green consciousness, an organization in the process of training that seeks to promote environmental conservation for the benefit of the next generations.
