The Ministry of Health reports that according to forecasts of meteorologists, in the coming days in various regions of the country, a sharp increase in temperature is expected – in places to extreme indicators.
The agency appeals to the population calling for maximum caution, especially for elderly people and citizens with chronic diseases. The Ministry of Health recommends limiting the open air and avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
It is also important to regularly drink water, even without a sense of thirst, and be, if possible, in well -ventilated and cool rooms. Physical activity is recommended to minimize.
Special attention should be paid to children, older people, people with disabilities and animals. The Ministry of Health recalls: it is strictly forbidden to leave anyone, including pets, in closed cars-even for a short time. It is also forbidden to leave animals without access to water and in conditions of overheating – both in rooms and on the street.
The heat can lead to life -threatening conditions, such as a thermal blow. This happens when the body ceases to cope with overheating and is not able to cool on its own.
The following groups are especially vulnerable: older people, children under the age of 4 years old, pregnant women, patients with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, people with excess weight, as well as those who take certain drugs or suffer from dehydration.
The Ministry of Health recommends immediately seek medical help when the following symptoms appear:
- body temperature above 39.5 ° C
- redness of the skin, lack of sweating, dry and hot skin
- Charp heartbeat
- Strong headache or pulsation sensation in the temples
- dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting
- confusion or loss of consciousness
Before the arrival of medical care, it is necessary to be in the shade or a cool place and start cooling the body (for example, using water or air). Important: with signs of a thermal blow, it is forbidden to give the victim water – the liquid should be administered only by doctors.
Detailed information and recommendations for protection against thermal blow are posted on the official website of the Ministry of Health.
Earlier, the “cursor” reported that Israel would encounter long and abnormally heavy heat.
