The Parisian river brigade recovered the body of a man with an amputated hand from the Seine on Wednesday, Franceinfo learned on Thursday December 18 from a source close to the matter.

The body was found at the Pont Neuf, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, early Wednesday afternoon. The man had an amputated hand and two impacts to the chest, the origin of which remains to be determined, according to this source.

According to initial findings, the body spent around three weeks in the water. An autopsy will be conducted.
