Summer fun on two wheels: “Lower Austria cycles” takes off

Deputy Governor Landbauer: Cycling not only makes you fit and healthy, it also inspires our children

St. Pölten (OTS) Anyone who registers using the free “Austria Cycles” app can discover over 100 cycling destinations while cycling on the ten top cycling routes in Lower Austria during summer. It keeps you fit, is fun and offers the chance to win one of five brand new bikes from KTM, Kalkhoff or Woom or two nights’ accommodation for two people in bike-friendly dream hotels, each worth 500 euros.

“Lower Austria Cycles” is a kilometer-collecting competition for everyone who likes to use their bike – whether on the way to work, to go shopping or to discover or rediscover Lower Austria’s top cycling routes along attractive excursion destinations in Lower Austria this summer. I wish our fellow countrymen a lot of fun and good fitness in the 2024 summer campaign,” said Deputy Governor Udo Landbauer. Lower Austrians can look forward to additional prizes, such as four Lower Austria Cards, twelve vouchers from the Lower Austrian Inn Culture or Kompass cycling maps.

And this is how it works: Install the “Austria Cycles” app, log in and select the “Summer Cycling Lower Austria 2024” campaign. Cycle to one of the destinations, open the app on site and tap the “Collect” button. As soon as the first three destinations have been found, you automatically take part in the prize draws.

The summer cycling campaign starts on July 1st and runs until September 12th. Lower Austria’s most beautiful cycling tours attract visitors with a variety of destinations for young and old. Culinary and cultural highlights await along the routes, as well as the opportunity to refresh yourself with a dip in the cool water. “On our NÖ radelt website you will find helpful tips on how to get there by train and interactive overview maps with all the destinations. Particularly committed participants who collect up to 24 points can win the golden gear trophy at the end,” says Susanna Hauptmann, Managing Director of Radland NÖ, about the summer campaign.
