How to get there
This emblematic cataract is 156 kilometers from Guatemala City. To arrive, the CA-9 North is taken first and then follow the detour in km 85 towards the CA-14 in the direction of Cobán. At kilometer 144.5 you will find a marked crossing to Chilascó, from where there are 12 km dirt to the information office.
The road is quite accessible and in good condition, so it is possible to do it in a private vehicle, but it is always advisable to go out with enough time to take advantage of the visit.
