A fatal accident occurred this Monday, September 2, around 3 a.m. in Vénissieux, on the ring road near the Moulin à Vent (Lyon 8th).
He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
In circumstances that remain to be clarified, a pedestrian attempted to cross the road, in the direction of south-north traffic. He was hit head-on by a Peugeot 307, the driver having been unable to do anything to avoid him, and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
An investigation is opened
An investigation was opened by the CRS Autoroutière Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne, which carried out observations at the scene of the accident.
Investigations are underway to identify the victim and determine the reasons for his presence on the ring road.
