MUSTIKA Resort & Spa Yogyakarta marked the start of the 2025 Festive Season with an elegant and intimate Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, attended by invited guests, business partners and media representatives. This event symbolizes the start of the festive season, where the lighting of the Christmas tree symbolizes hope, togetherness and the warm and gracious spirit of Mustika, a resort deeply rooted in Javanese cultural heritage.
The evening event began at 17.45 when guests were warmly welcomed by the Master of Ceremonies and the team into the event space which displayed a harmonious blend of modern Christmas aesthetics and the timeless beauty of Javanese culture, creating an atmosphere that felt both lively and classy.
At 18.00, the General Manager delivered an opening speech, expressing gratitude and officially kicking off the festive season with the Festive Symbolic Opening with Alarm, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree. This moment was the highlight of the evening, which was captured beautifully by the documentation team.
The ceremony continued with a Solo Piano Performance by Gavriel Sangkakala, which created an elegant and solemn atmosphere for the celebration. Shortly thereafter, the Executive Chef introduced a sumptuous dinner menu, featuring specially selected dishes prepared for the occasion.
After the dazzling performance, the Christmas Buffet Dinner was held at Androwino Bistro, with a selection of sumptuous dishes carefully and passionately prepared by Chef Tony Rido. The menu served includes classic appetizers, seafood bisque served with artisan bread, traditional roast duck, various sushi and a selection of signature hot dishes, providing a luxurious and memorable Christmas dining experience, accompanied by Mustika’s signature hospitality.
After the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and menu presentation, guests are invited to enjoy a warm and sumptuous Christmas Buffet Dinner specially curated for the occasion. The evening continued with a musical performance featuring graceful piano playing and three vocalists performing classic Christmas songs, filling the room with a sense of joy and nostalgia. The event closed with an atmosphere of elegance and sincerity, reflecting Mustika’s signature blend of heritage, hospitality and celebratory spirit.

Mustika Resort & Spa Yogyakarta held a New Year’s Eve celebration entitled “A Night of Play & Flame” on December 31, 2025. This event presents New Year’s Eve Dinner combined with arcade machine facilitiesmaking it the only New Year celebration in Yogyakarta that carries the concept of arcade-style interactive entertainment.
Apart from dinner, the series of events was also enlivened with BBQ Night and performances fire dance, acoustic music, as well as “forest of lights” themed decorations. All activities are open to hotel guests and general visitors.
