Passed for their generosity. Four employees of Starbucks and ready -to -eat stores at Marseille airport were dismissed for seriously at the end of March.
The reason? They gave unsold sandwiches intended for the trash without fixed home and airport employees. One of the sellers, who was dismissed after thirty years of good and loyal service, explains to our colleagues from Provence that the site director was aware of this practice.
“My superior told me it was good like that”
“There was an overproduction, my superior told me that it was like that, to continue. Otherwise, he was forced to get out of the airport speaker to throw in special bins, it has a cost. Before the distribution, all the goods were recorded by my superior. I would not have taken any risks for my career or my business, ”he justifies.
But the employer, the British group SSP, specializing in catering concessions on transport sites, does not hear this ear. SSP talks about serious violations and figures the loss at 2,000 euros in January.
Licensed employees consider that this customary practice has unfortunately turned against them, and plan to seize the industrial tribunal.
