Two individuals, suspected of having wanted to extort passers-by at knifepoint, were arrested on Wednesday evening around 9 p.m., Wednesday, Place des Archives (Lyon 2nd).
Aged 19 and 20, they attacked two teenagers aged 17 and a 29-year-old to steal their phone. According to the first elements, they had been active in the Confluence district then at Place des Archives, in the Perrache sector.
Witnesses at the scene intervened and allowed their arrest.
At the end of their police custody, the two suspects were referred this Friday afternoon to the Lyon public prosecutor’s office.
