On September 5, Fabienne BUCCIO, Regional Prefect, invited Employer Organizations, businesses, employment prescribers and skills operators to the review meeting of the experiment conducted in Auvergne Rhône Alpes aimed at issuing a provisional driving certificate within 48 hours following successful completion of the D license tests.
In the AURA region, it enabled the positions needed to transport passengers during the local Olympic and World Skills events to be filled. The approach enabled 180 cases to be processed during the summer in a perfect partnership dynamic between all the stakeholders involved in the mobility of people.
OTRE AURA would like to thank all the Prefecture staff involved in this success. Our organization, the only regional OP to defend the interests of both TRM and passenger transport heritage companies, would like to welcome the Prefect’s desire to bring to the public authorities the extension of this type of system to new TRM drivers. Indeed, the excessively long waiting times for obtaining a C or EC license after passing the exams, which are sometimes three to five months, cause TRM companies to lose employees every year, as they are repeatedly experiencing tension in driving professions.
Thank you, Madam Prefect, for your support of our professional sector!
