HOLIDAY Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada again warmly welcomed this year’s Christmas celebration by presenting children from the Saab Shares Learning House. As is tradition every year, at the beginning of December the Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada hotel held a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony as part of the Christmas welcoming series, as well as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which has become the hotel’s regular agenda.
Saab Shares is a non-profit organization that focuses on education, health and women’s empowerment, founded in 2014 and founded by sisters Elena Bensawan and Sabrina Bensawan, who started this initiative at the age of 16.
The presence of children from the Saab Shares Learning House gave a warm and loving atmosphere through dance performances and angklung games that performed Christmas songs.
As part of its CSR commitment, Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada also invites hotel guests to participate in the “Tree of Hope” Christmas donation program.
Guests can make a contribution to help make Saab Shares children’s wishes and hopes come true which have been written on the Wishing Tree located in the hotel lobby area throughout the month of December.
“This year’s Christmas celebration is a very meaningful moment for us. Through a collaboration that has been running for almost a year with Saab Shares, we want to bring happiness, hope and the spirit of sharing to children in need. We believe that every contribution, no matter how small, can have a big positive impact,” said Murti Kartikasari (Tika), General Manager of Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada.
“The series of events then closed with great warmth. After the symbolic handover of donations from the hotel, the children were invited to enjoy a special dinner prepared by Duta Café & Restaurant, presenting a moment full of togetherness and Christmas joy,” he concluded. (Adv)
