A real winter cold has been affecting Lyon since Tuesday, November 18. Temperatures will drop further, dropping below zero degrees. Météo-France even forecasts snow on Sunday in the Rhône with possible falls in the capital of Gaul.
Here are the latest forecasts.
Winter cold all week
The cold will last. From this Wednesday, November 19, the minimum temperatures will be -1°C while the maximums will barely exceed 8°C in Lyon. The sky will be hazy and cloudy. Thursday, it will be between 2°C and 7°C with clearings throughout the day.
On Friday, you will have to cover up even more since it will be between -1°C and 5°C in the capital of Gaul. And as if that wasn’t enough, gusts of up to 45 km/h will occur throughout the day despite sunny spells.
On Saturday, it will be between 1°C and 6°C at the hottest with sunshine and few clouds. However, the wind will still be there throughout the day with gusts to 40 km/h.
“Heavy and persistent” snow forecast for Sunday
According to Météo-France forecasts, snowfall is even possible in the Rhône on Sunday November 23. Snowy precipitation is forecast in Lyon. “Front coming from the west with rain possibly preceded by snow, to be confirmed,” writes Weather-Lyon on his site.
It is possible that snowfall, “intermittent or persistent”, will fall in the city from 5 a.m. Sunday morning, while temperatures will be around 0°C.
