The week, which began on July 13, promises to be hotter than usual: weather forecasters predict an increase in the average air temperature by 2-3 ° C above the climatic norm. In a number of regions, especially on the coastal plain, this will lead to wound thermal loads, aggravated by high humidity and stuffiness.
According to preliminary estimates of meteorologists, by the end of the week Israel may face the first truly extreme hot period of this summer. Until this moment, the season was relatively soft, but in the coming days the situation will change.
Sea and jellyfish
The water temperature in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel is still slightly lower than the norm – 28.3 ° C against the seasonal average indicator of 29 ° C. However, increased heat will probably raise it above standard values over the next two weeks.
At the same time, the number of jellyfish in the coastal waters has already significantly decreased. Forecasters and ecologists predict that by the beginning of August, Medusa will completely leave the beaches, which will delight lovers of marine rest.
Recommendations for residents and tourists:
- Avoid Open Sun stay from 11:00 to 17:00, when the heat is most dangerous.
- Drink more water, even if you do not feel thirst.
