Sweetness in the morning

The sky is clear between Occitanie and the Mediterranean with a lot of mildness from daybreak. The morning is also very mild in the northern half due to the rise of the southwest wind. Some rain on the Cotentin or Finistère is expected. The wind is blowing hard in the Channel with gusts around 70 km/h, perhaps reaching 80 to 90 km/h towards the Opal Coast and the exposed capes.

Temperatures vary from 15 to 20°C in the northern half with cloudy skies, and reach up to 23°C in the Mercantour under the sun.

Afternoon: very hot

It is very hot on the eastern side of the country with a clear sky. The sky is gradually clouding over from the north of Aquitaine to the Ardennes, and a few showers are still flying over Brittany or Normandy. The wind is still blowing in the Channel but is gradually weakening. Maximum temperatures are still gaining a few degrees compared to the day before in the East with 29°C in Strasbourg, 32°C in Lyon and up to 34-35°C in Montélimar or Orange. Temperatures are increasing very little near the Channel under the showers with 19°C in Brest or Cherbourg.

Quiet evening

The evening is calm and mild over three-quarters of the country. There is still some rain near the Channel, where the wind continues to weaken.
