In commemoration of Kartini Day, Grand Inna Tunjungan, a hotel under the auspices of Injurney Hospitality, also enlivened this special moment by holding various inspirational activities on women’s empowerment theme. One of the main series of activities is:

1. Workshop “Rose Petals Aromatherapy Bath Salt & Eco Enzyme for Powerful Women”

This workshop aims to empower women through practical and environmentally friendly skills, which are not only beneficial for personal needs, but also have economic potential.

• The first session was guided directly by the General Manager of Grand Inna Tunjungan, Ni Komang Darmiati, who shared the process of making Aromatherapy Bath Salt by re -utilizing rose flower petals from flower decorations in the hotel lobby. In addition to being an environmentally friendly souvenir, this activity also introduces the concept of upcycling in everyday life.
• The second session was continued by Ms. Yustina Sri Maryanti, S.Pd, an Eco Enzyme Specialist, who taught how to process kitchen waste into Eco Enzyme – versatile illegal which can be used as a natural cleanser, liquid fertilizer, and insect repellent. This initiative is a small step but meaningful in supporting a sustainable lifestyle.

The event was attended by women’s families from employees/IT, Daily Workers, and Trainee Grand Inna Tunjungan, with Kebaya Dress Code as a form of respect for the spirit of Kartini and her struggle in fighting for women’s equality.

This activity was also attended by representatives from the Department of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population of the City of Surabaya, which gave appreciation for the contribution of Grand Inna Tunjungan in encouraging the active role of women in the field of environment and life skills.

2. Flower Arrangement Activities

As a complement, the employees also attended the learning session of flower arrangement, which was re -guided by Ni Komang Darmiati. This activity is not only a means to channel creativity and hone aesthetics, but also a medium of self -reflection and strengthen togetherness. Arranging flowers becomes a symbol of interaction with the beauty of nature and the expression of art that refreshes the mind.

Through this whole series of activities, Grand Inna Tunjungan hopes to continue to create space and opportunities for women to develop, independently, and empowered.

“We believe that women have an important role in shaping future generations and protecting the earth. With the skills they have, they can become agents of change, starting from home,” said Ni Komang Darmiati.

At Grand Inna Tunjungan, there are three Srikandi figures who also accompanied Mrs. Ni Komang Darmiati as the General Manager in running hotel operations, namely:

• Mother Isa Octaviani as Director of Sales,
• Mrs. Aprilia Ayukusuma F. as Front Office Manager, and
• Ms. Deni Ekasari as a financial controller.

All three act as head of department and are a clear proof that women are able to take a strategic role in supporting the company’s success and progress.

It is hoped that this kind of activity can continue to be carried out in a sustainable manner and become an inspiration, not only in the internal environment of the Grand Inna Tunjungan, but also for other hospitality sectors in developing women’s empowerment programs and environmental preservation.
