In the proud 45 years of its existence, FM has been able to boast countless highlights, year after year. In the first year of the newly founded magazine, for example, it managed to win the Wienerwald-Zampano Friedrich Jahn to an exclusive interview about the decline of his empire. In 1987, Der Mucha Europe’s first service guide was launched and, with 46,000 copies sold, it came second on the bestseller list. This made our publishing house known throughout Austria overnight. In all of these activities, the topic of service was always at the forefront. In his editorial, FM publisher Christian W. Mucha our motto, which is “to be truthful without being muzzled” and to which we feel connected, as we do now.

It’s back: The ultimate ranking of the top 1000 industry bigwigs. Divided into tourism, hotel and catering. FM was supported by 49 well-known industry proponents from Steirereck boss HeinzReitbauer above Walter Welledits (Slam Holding) up to Michele Fanton (Ruefa), from Walter Säckl (ÖRV) about Fabio Giacobello (Fabio’s) up to Bernd Knoflach (Raiffeisen Reisen), who served as jurors and carefully evaluated the nominees in terms of performance, competence and likeability.

But the opinion of FM readers was also included in the list. They were able to vote for their favorites at fm-online.at for around one and a half months. Thousands of votes were received here.

And this is the result: The hotel industry decided Gerhard Gucher (Vamed Vitality World) und Klaus Panholzer(Schönbrunn Palace). Among the restaurateurs, Juan Amador (Amador) to the top.
