Spain Square
The Spain Square It is a large, green space located in Zone 9 of the city. It is a perfect place to walk, rest and enjoy nature in the middle of the city. In the center of the square, there is a fountain that is an important reference point. Around the square, there are benches where people can sit and enjoy the quiet, open-air atmosphere.


Bust of Dolores Bedoya de Molina
Near Plaza España, just a 10-minute walk away, is the Bust of Dolores Bedoya de Molinaa monument that honors a key figure in the history of Guatemala. She was an activist who played an important role in the independence of Central America. Her bust is located on Avenida Reforma, 14 street, Zone 10. It is surrounded by a garden and has cement benches around it to sit and enjoy the afternoon.


Monument to the creators of the National Anthem
The Monument to the Creators of the National Anthem is dedicated to Rafael Álvarez Ovalle and José Joaquín Palma, who composed the music and lyrics of the anthem, respectively. This monument is located in a central area and is visited by many who wish to pay tribute to these historical figures. The structure of the monument is imposing and is a perfect place for a reflective pause during the tour.


Monument to the Heroes of Independence
It is located in the obelisk of Guatemala City and has been the meeting point every September 14 and 15, to symbolically light the torch that represents freedom. In addition, this is a large plaza with many spaces to sit, be outdoors and is surrounded by several restaurants and shops, ideal for spending a weekend in the city.


Republic Square of Costa Rica
The Plaza República de Costa Rica is a green space dedicated to strengthening ties between Guatemala and Costa Rica. In honor of former President Rafael Calderón Guardia, this monument has seven flagpoles with the flags of the departments of Costa Rica. This is one of the 4 plazas dedicated to Central American countries and are located along Avenida Las Américas.


Republic of Honduras Square
Similar to the previous plaza, the Plaza República de Honduras celebrates the relationship between Guatemala and Honduras. Here you will also find a commemorative statue and spaces to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Dedicated to the Hero of Independence Mr. José Cecilio del Valle, who was born in Choluteca, Honduras, during the time of the Spanish Crown.


Republic Square of El Salvador
The Plaza República de El Salvador is another point of interest on this circuit. This space is dedicated to the brotherhood between Guatemala and El Salvador. In the center of the square, there is a statue that symbolizes the union and collaboration between the two countries. It is a quiet place where you can walk. Dedicated to Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero. The monument has three columns that represent the flag of El Salvador.


Republic Square of Nicaragua
The Plaza República de Nicaragua celebrates the relationship between Guatemala and Nicaragua. Like the other plazas, this one has a commemorative statue and green areas. It is a perfect place to rest and enjoy nature in the middle of the city. Monument dedicated to Rubén Darío who was a Nicaraguan writer and poet, he is recognized as a representative of contemporary lyric poetry.


Berlin Square
The tour ends at Plaza Berlín, located in Zone 13. This plaza offers a stunning panoramic view of the city and the volcanoes. It is a popular spot for visitors and locals looking to enjoy the view and the relaxed atmosphere. The plaza features several sculptures and monuments that reflect the history and culture of Guatemala, as well as an original part of the Berlin Wall.
