Easter holiday trips are now being booked briskly, so you should act quickly to ensure a suitable destination. Popular options are European city destinations, as well as the Canary Islands and Mediterranean holiday destinations, which offer guaranteed warmth.

– Spring holiday trips are currently being booked briskly, and now is the right time to act to secure the desired destination and hotel, comments Aurinkomatkat’s communications manager Mari Kanerva by e-mail.

For those planning a spring trip, Easter this year is at an ideal time: April 3–6, 2026.

– After all, Easter is on the first weekend of April this year, which is a wonderful time to travel to several European cities. In addition, there are still flights to winter destinations, for example the Canary Islands, for those who still want to be sure of warmth, Tui’s communications manager advises via e-mail Laura Aaltonen.

So what kind of destinations should you keep an eye on during this popular travel time?

– At Easter time, we start trips to several favorite destinations in the Mediterranean. In addition to the Canary Islands, the selection includes Crete, Mallorca and our new destination Sicily, says Kanerva.

Tui, on the other hand, has strengthened its range of travel packages with the low-cost airline Ryanair, increasing its offer of low-cost trips.

– We have added vacation trips with Ryanair’s direct flights to our selection, and these travel packages are the cheapest there.

The supported destinations that Ryanair flies to are Alicante, Vienna, London, Dubrovnik, Milan, Zadar, Thessaloniki and Vienna.

An extended weekend is a popular trip length, especially for city vacation destinations.

– We often go to city destinations for a shorter time than a week, for example 3, 4 or 5 days are a popular vacation length, Aaltonen says.

– For a week’s vacation around Easter, you can cheaply go to, for example, Dubrovnik, Vienna, Krakow and Istanbul. In addition, Spain’s Salou and Turkey’s Alanya are also on the list when filtering the cheapest price first trips, he specifies Tui’s offer.

– We also have holiday flights to Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Hurghada. There are also direct holiday flights to these from other airports in Finland such as Oulu, Turku, Tampere, Kuopio and Vaasa during Easter, advises Aaltonen.

Aurinkomatto’s cheapest Easter holiday destinations can be found in Turkey’s Alanya and in the city resorts closer. From there, four destinations are mentioned as inexpensive Easter travel destinations: Riga, Berlin, Edinburgh and Krakow.
