This is not unusual for this time of year, but due to the extremely high temperatures in February, fruit trees are already blooming in the lowlands, which can be damaged by frost. Otherwise, Friday will be the sunniest day of the work week. It will be clear to partly cloudy on Friday. In the morning and forenoon, it will be cloudy with low clouds and fog will appear. Daily temperatures 7 to 11 °C.

Temperatures will temporarily rise over the weekend

We have a very pleasant second weekend of March ahead of us. Temperatures will rise temporarily. On Saturday, we can look forward to up to 10 hours of sunshine. It will be clear to partly cloudy on Saturday. In the morning and in the forenoon, occasionally cloudy with low clouds and fog. Morning temperatures 4 to -1 °C. Daily temperatures 10 to 14 °C. During the day, wind gusts up to 55 km/h, so the feeling temperature will be slightly lower.

On Sunday, it will be cloudy to partly cloudy, during the day the clouds will increase further and there will be showers or rain in places. Morning temperatures 7 to 3 °C. Daily temperatures 11 to 16 °C. Windy again during the day.

From Monday, the weather will be April weather

At the very beginning of the new week, we will start taking out umbrellas and raincoats – cloudiness and precipitation will increase. These will initially be snowy on the mountains, gradually the snow limit will reach higher altitudes. However, no dramatic cooling is on the way, only temperatures will no longer reach such high positive temperature deviations, as was the case during February.

On Monday it will be cloudy to cloudy, showers or rain in most areas, snow in the mountains. Morning temperatures 6 to 2 °C. Daily temperatures 8 to 13 °C.

On Tuesday, it will be cloudy to cloudy, showers or rain in most areas, snowfall in the mountains, temporarily from higher altitudes. Morning temperatures 4 to 0 °C. Daily temperatures 6 to 10 °C.

On Wednesday, it will be cloudy, with showers in places, temporarily snowy from higher altitudes. Morning temperatures 2 to -2 °C. Daily temperatures 5 to 9 °C.

After the extreme weather in February, a gradual spring awaits us

This year’s February, with an average monthly air temperature of 5.7 °C, was surpassed in terms of temperature by only one March in the 21st century, namely in 2017, otherwise, average monthly temperatures in March were lower. That’s how atypical this year’s last meteorological winter month was. Now we expect a return to gradual spring weather and temperatures, so in the night minimums we expect temperatures below freezing in places and in the mountains, temporarily from higher altitudes, even snowfall.
